Description

Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from fragment 4-10 of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), extended with a stabilising Pro-Gly-Pro sequence. It is studied for interaction with melanocortin receptors MC3R and MC4R in central-nervous-system research, and for its association with BDNF pathway expression in memory and cognition studies. Supplied as a 10 mg lyophilised vial.

Storage and handling

Keep the sealed vial refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C and away from direct light. Do not freeze unless your protocol requires it.

Once reconstituted, keep the vial sealed and refrigerated, and aliquot rather than warming and cooling the same container repeatedly. Note the reconstitution date on the label.
