Description

Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist and one of the most extensively characterised incretin compounds in metabolic, obesity and glycaemic research. It is studied for its interaction with hypothalamic GLP-1 receptors involved in satiety signalling, its effect on glucose-dependent insulin secretion, and its association with body-fat and lipid-metabolism research markers. Supplied as a sterile lyophilised vial; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and store refrigerated between 2-8 °C once prepared.

Storage and handling

Keep the sealed vial refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C and away from direct light. Do not freeze unless your protocol requires it.

Once reconstituted, keep the vial sealed and refrigerated, and aliquot rather than warming and cooling the same container repeatedly. Note the reconstitution date on the label.
