Description

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial genome, studied for its role in regulating cellular energy metabolism through AMPK-pathway activation. Research interest spans glucose uptake, lipid oxidation and mitochondrial resilience under oxidative stress, as well as longevity-adjacent cellular ageing models. Supplied as a 10 mg lyophilised vial.

Storage and handling

Keep the sealed vial refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C and away from direct light. Do not freeze unless your protocol requires it.

Once reconstituted, keep the vial sealed and refrigerated, and aliquot rather than warming and cooling the same container repeatedly. Note the reconstitution date on the label.
